Athelas says its Voice Agents connect with EHRs including Epic, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, and MEDITECH. Air has its own migration process. Buying a voice product does not automatically require buying Air. Confirm that distinction before estimating migration effort.

Consider Air when replacing your EHR is already an approved project. Consider Athelas's separate agents when access is the priority and you intend to retain your record. What Caesar Health would cover

Caesar's Phone Agent handles configured patient calls and scheduling workflows. Document Inbox addresses incoming fax and document work. Its AI Scribe can be evaluated for clinical documentation.

Available actions depend on the connected EHR and the agreed workflow. Confirm patient matching and the exact fields the agent can read or change. A listed integration does not establish every possible action. Ask for a demonstration on your EHR version and appointment rules.

Caesar's Revenue Cycle is in beta with design partners. Confirm availability before assigning value to coding, prior authorization, denials, or payment posting. Those workflows need their own written scope and review process.

What to test in a demo

Ask Athelas to demonstrate Voice Agents on the EHR you currently use. Separately, review Air's migration mapping if replacing the EHR is in scope. Include historical documents and unsigned notes in that review. For managed billing, ask who handles exceptions and payer follow-up.

Ask both vendors to show an exception requiring staff judgment. Inspect the handoff and the chart audit trail. Use de-identified examples in a permitted test environment. Record which steps finish automatically and which need staff approval.

Pricing and rollout questions

Request a quote tied to the workflows you will actually deploy. Include implementation charges and usage limits. Ask whether integration work is included and who maintains the connection. Compare staff review time alongside the subscription cost.

For clinical documentation, confirm recording consent, retention settings, and the clinician's approval step. For patient contact, check business-hours routing and the fallback when the EHR is unavailable. Request the applicable Business Associate Agreement and the covered products.

Start with a defined pilot and a baseline from your own practice. Measure completed requests and the staff work left afterward. Track incorrect chart updates separately from unfinished tasks. Agree on acceptance criteria before expanding to another queue.
